World Design Capital 2024
I participated in the WDC 2024 Club Binational Youth Poster Contest as part of the World Design Capital San Diego Tijuana 2024, Youth Program.
The WDC 2024 Club Exhibition serves as a platform for young designers to showcase their creativity in the official WDC 2024 program while addressing pressing regional challenges through the power of design.
There were multiple categories to choose from, I selected Design for the Environment.
Using Procreate, I wanted to focus my attention specifically on how an excess amount of trash affects our planet and throws off the balance of our ecosystems.

Main Points
Flower: The main focal point that represents the Earth as a whole.
Koi: The Koi represents the animals impacted by excess waste and pollution.
Trash: Along with the murky water, the garbage shows how humans are the main cause of this imbalance and is now affecting both the wildlife and our population.
Digital Illustrations and Studies

This project developed over three weeks, where I studied how colors work together, and how I can digitally edit my work to create completely new colors. I wanted to create an original pond and looked up multiple sources to help and I also received feedback as I went, which is why all of these digital paintings are slightly different from one another. My favorite part of this process was how I could see how much I improved in skill in such a short amount of time
I made three film studies from The Joker, Wonder Woman, and the Princess Bride. This study was done digitally on Photoshop in monochrome to focus on the different tones of these movie scenes
This study was based on colors and textures. I was to pick three different images with different textures and paint spheres with the same texture, this has helped me improve my digital painting skills and focus more on the details.
Perspective Studies
I took a digital perspective class and I learned how to use photoshop with perspective.
Salt & Pepper Movie Poster
This is an original movie poster based on a made-up story of a cat and its owner, versus the villain in the city. I used pictures of my cat, found free stock pictures as well, and blended everything to create a dramatic cover using Photoshop.

Little Coincidences
This project is an original book cover in Photoshop based on the story of how I adopted my cat, Nobu. I wanted to make a fun and playful design so I digitally drew my cat, and blended stock images of colorful cat toys into the cover. After I created the design I warped the images onto an existing book to create a realistic mockup!
